Initial Consultation
At your initial consultation we will discuss your health history and assess your current concerns and how they may be affecting your health, performance or productivity; your past medical history and any history of past injuries, traumas, falls, and accidents; in addition to your general health and lifestyle routine.
During your examination, we will attempt to find out exactly what is causing your problem. We may perform some or all of the following tests: a spinal and postural examination; static palpation tests – feeling and assessing the bones, joints and surrounding muscles and structures; assessment of your joint function and movement; manual muscle testing; neurological examination; orthopaedic tests; X-ray examination [If necessary].
Once we have reviewed your tests, we will explain our findings and recommend what needs to be done to attain, and maintain your health goals. If at this stage, we find anything outside of our area of expertise, we will refer you to the appropriate professional.
Feel free to ask any questions as we progress through the examination.
Report Of Findings (Second consultation)
After reviewing and collating your examination results we will explain and show you the findings. We will then explain the type of treatment, the frequency of recommended care and the cost. Chiropractic care is usually offered in three levels that build on each other:
Initial Care
When beginning Chiropractic care the focus is on helping to stabilise and improve the function of your spine and nervous system as quickly as possible. Frequent adjustments are typically recommended during this level. Pain and other symptoms begin to show relief.
Corrective and Rehabilitative Care
Having achieved increased function and mobility in your spine this intermediate level is designed to correct long term subluxations, tension patterns and posture. As the function of the spine and nervous system improves you will often experience improvements in the functions of your body and organs. Many people report dramatic increases in their strength and co-ordination, their clarity of thought and energy levels.
Wellness Care
This advanced level of care helps you to further improve the function of your spine and nervous system and keeps them working at their best. Most of us have many stresses in our lives that create subluxations. Having your spine checked on a regular basis helps keep your spine and nervous system as free from interference as possible.
Keeping your body and mind flexible enables you to cope with stress better, to perform at your best and to feel more alive.
Supportive recommendations may also be provided for a holistic approach in attaining and maintaining optimal levels of health. These may include information on:
